Muskoka Deck & Dock
Who we are
If you are looking for a Muskoka deck builder who works these lots for a living, that is us. Muskoka Deck & Dock is Clark and Martin. We have been building decks in Muskoka for over a decade. Most jobs are cottages and waterfront homes: granite under the footings, a steep drop to the lake, a wraparound that has to stay true around every corner. We quote the site you have, not a picture from a brochure.
Clark and Martin are a small Muskoka crew. The same people who walk the lot are the ones who build it. If something is off, you talk to them.
We show up when we say we will, we keep you in the loop, and we sweat the details that last. Mitres, hidden fasteners, a railing that lines up with the door.
What we build
Decks for Muskoka lots
Decks for waterfront lots, hillside cottages, and regular town properties. New builds and rebuilds.
Waterfront work is usually about the view, the grade, and staying clear of the shoreline rules. Hillside work is about getting a level walking surface on ground that does not want to be level. Cottage work is often a wraparound, a bunkie connection, or replacing a tired deck before it gets unsafe.
Awkward lots are normal. We have anchored a wraparound into an eroding hillside, split shoreline boulders to set footings without a machine, and run a bridge from a main deck to a bunkie porch.
Railings, privacy walls, pergolas, lighting, and outdoor kitchens go on as add-ons. Mention them when you enquire.
Need a dock as well? We build those too. See dock building in Muskoka. This page is decks.
Materials we use
Built for Muskoka weather
- Pressure treated
- Cedar
- Composite, including TimberTech
- PVC
- Millboard
Muskoka is hard on a walking surface: freeze-thaw, snow load, sun off the water. The straight comparison is on the materials page. When we visit, we will tell you which one fits the site and the budget.
Where we work
Bracebridge, Huntsville, Gravenhurst, Port Carling, Lake of Bays, Rosseau.

How a deck job works
- Enquire. We come to the property, walk the grade, and give you a free quote.
- Site visit and plan. Design, materials, and the permits for your municipality.
- Build. Our crew is on site until the walkthrough.
A Muskoka deck builder who skips the site visit is guessing. We do not quote a hillside from a photo.
