Lake of Bays English Walnut Deck
A TimberTech deck in English Walnut, built through the depths of a Muskoka winter on Lake of Bays.
The Project
A multi-area deck on Lake of Bays, finished in TimberTech PVC from the Vintage Collection in English Walnut. TimberTech aluminum railing with a built-in drink ledge runs along the seating areas, keeping the perimeter functional without adding visual bulk.
The Challenge
This build ran through the peak of a harsh Muskoka winter. Frozen ground, snow, and short days make every stage of a deck build slower and less forgiving, and the finish work still had to meet the same standard as a mid-summer build.
The Solution
We kept the project moving through the freeze, and the finished deck shows none of it. The footings are fully concealed, so the main deck reads as a clean, floating patio, and the drink ledge railing gives the edges a purpose beyond safety.
