A full tear-out and rebuild in Parry Sound, with a new TimberTech deck, stairs and walkway that won’t need staining.
The Project
The old deck, framing and railing at this Parry Sound home had reached the end of their life, so we took everything out and started fresh. We handled the permit, then built new footings and framing to the structural drawings, finished with TimberTech Terrain+ composite decking, TimberTech Impression aluminum railing, and PVC lattice skirting underneath.
The Challenge
This wasn’t a resurface. Once the old deck came out, the new one needed a permit and engineered framing, and it had to sit on the rocky, sloped ground around the house while tying into the doors, the stairs and the walkway along the wall.
The Solution
We set new footings and framing exactly to the drawings, then ran the composite decking, stairs and railing as one continuous build from the door down to the stone steps. The lattice skirting closes in the space underneath for a clean, finished look from the yard.
